Just finished it , very good show up until the last half hour, very rushed finish.
Thought The Night of was very good, only made better by the appearance of a Limerick jersey in a bar scene.

Another - old - recommendation, ‘And Then There Were None’, a BBC adaption of an Agatha Christie book.
The siege of Jadotsville coming to select cinemas and Netflix in the coming weeks, horrible OIRISH accents aside it could be good or utter shite time will tell.

Not to be a total contrarian, but I’ve just finished ‘Stranger Things’ and I thought it was pretty average. All the characters are so derivative, all the romance so contrived, it all feels like it’s almost entirely pulled from elsewhere. Even the style that it gets so much praise for was pretty meh, ‘ooooh it’s gotta synth soundtrack’, big whoop. In the end it was ok and had it’s moments, but removed from the hype it’s really nothing special.

Agreed. All a bit meh
The plaudits it’s received is totally mad and unwarranted. I’ve seen even Forbes call it the best show of the year, others calling it the best first season ever.
Admittedly, it can be hard to watch something without expectation after reading all that.

There are no words for how bad that MacGyver remake is. Worse that you could have imagined. Its Vinnie Jones bad. Because he’s in it. Funny how bad they can make a show. The masochist in me will leave Lethal Weapon for another night.
