Michael was the best character.
The scene with Bren was very good actually.

Michael is a terrible, terrible character. He’s more like a social care worker than a ruthless gangland hitman. As I said earlier, only the Conor McGregor caricature is believable as a Dublin gangland character. The rest of them come across as a cross betwern baristas & University lecturers.

Mrs Pike has persisted with it so I have persisted with, although I have only half been watching at times.
The scene where the drug lord attends an ayahuasca retreat with a load of yuppies in the Wicklow mountains kind of sums up the series for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Chesnut Man on Netflix. Nothing new in it but it was executed well. Possibly a little rushed but overall enjoyable for what it is.
I tried The Devil’s Throat on All4 as it had been recommended in the Irish Times and well reviewed on IMDb. Gave up after three episodes, thought it was poor. Pacing was way off and it was just a bit all over the place.
I’m moving on to Bordertown next.

Michael struck me as a lad whose spirit died a long time ago and has been tortured by his time in the family. He does the killings because he doesn’t really feel anything anymore.
The other lad Jimmy is all over the place. He can put a hot iron on a junkie’s face yet shits himself when he has to kill a mob rival.
A smashing third episode of Succession.

The Morning Show is very poor fare this season. And I’ve taken a right dislike to Jennifer Anniston since she was mean to Jermaine Jenas.
Only started watching succession.
First impressions: Brian cox magnificent as usual… kieran culkin is hilarious.shiv definitely one for the not quite lovely but better than roughish.
My money is on cousin greg to win the iron throne here

They’re making a second season but with a new cast of characters.
