The original is fantastic. The first series of the newer ones, or season 3, was good but had a few patchy moments. The recent season (4) was very good.

I’m working my way through Engrenages (Spiral) a French TV series. 88 hour long episodes over eight seasons, if you have the stomach for all that. It’s very good, with subtitles of course. The picture quality on some of the earlier seasons may not be great. That Audrey Fleurot improves with age though.
I’m caught up with this, it’s grand and has some funny scenes but not spectacular. I’d much prefer the early seasons of eastbound and down. Goggins and the daughter/her husband are the best characters by miles
What’s it about? 88 1hr episodes with subtitles is some commitment!
