Incorrect. Prior to the Kavanaugh hearing Democrats had a big lead in the polls. The more outrageous allegations against Kavanaugh have fired up the Republican base and will also swing a lot of Independents to vote Republican.
The antics of the scumbag Avenatti and the failure of the Democrats to put him back in his box could cost the Dems huge in November.
Republican base will be happy enough now they have their man on the court,the dems will be driv demented and should see an increase in turnout.
I think currently the Republicans have done slightly better out of it but if they’re seen to Swiftboat Ford that could be very damaging for them.
There really hasn’t been much criticism of Ford, the Republican narrative is that she was thrust into the public spotlight against her will and every stage of the process was carefully managed to try and inflict maximum damage on Kavanaugh. It all went off the rails when Avenatti entered the picture.
That’s not what the polls are saying for what they are worth. Whatever advantage the Dems had in projected turnout is gone.
Something a lot of people outside the US don’t realise is most Democrats are also quite conservative, just not as conservative as Republicans. The noisy left get a lot of attention from the media but they are in reality a small minority. The reality is the majority of Americans are decent people who are appalled by the scumbag tactics used against Kavanaugh (Democrats embracing the Avenatti accusation before it was shown to be invented bullshit).
The biggest impact in November could be enough Independents who normally don’t vote in midterms coming out and voting Republican.
