I think it added to his character. He was some player

Nothing will ever top the time Ewan claimed Shane Lowry was a fascist. I remember Barry Glendenning had an amusing reply to it.

What ages were they, what happened?

He lost a child as a tiny baby, a few weeks old, some years later his young daughter died after a short illness
Michael is very well got in his community, his wife is meant to be an absolute lady, the son was in school with a cousin of mine that my mother looked after, my mother knew her well

That’s very sad and a timely reminder how we should always try and be nice to each other regardless. I can’t imagine how tough that is for him.

Jesus thats shocking. I saw he had the son in goals for nemo but never knew that. Im sure he’s a very decent man, loyal to a basket case of a party but trying to do what he can. Him leo and others are doing their best, they might not be the greatest statesman but they are trying. I cannot stand people who shriek all day that they ‘hate the poor’ and are ‘screwing normal people over’ they are normal people ffs

Example of what?

The fact that he is a shameless, self serving politician who is hell bent of satisfying his ego at all costs.
