There’s a silent majority in Ireland that didn’t choose to be offended by Hook’s comments. When the lefties like Donohue get upset they scream and bawl and scream until the opposition to their stance just move on with life and they are deemed the winners by default. And now we have sponsors freaking out because a broadcaster expressed an opinion that wasn’t perfectly PC.

This really is bullshit. I can’t stand listening to Hook but he shouldn’t be losing his job over this.

Sponsors freaking out due to the permanently outraged pouncing on an honest mistake and screaming loud enough to blow it completely out of proportion.
The problem for the like of Donoghue is he can manipulate sponsors by screaming PC nonsense loud enough but they still won’t touch any show he puts his name to.

That’s the problem with the right wingers. They think disgust at comments like Hook’s must be orchestrated because they personally don’t see what’s so bad about blaming a young women for being raped in those circumstances. And they assume everyone else must feel the same.
