Tyrone 2020

Would be like Pardew leaving Charlton Athletic

Aidan O’Mahony changed the landscape of the game when he simulated to get the Cork guy sent off.

Mickey Harte changed football for the better. He will go down in sporting folklore. Its time for someone else to have a crack at it now

That’s a bit harsh

It’s not too late. They could start gaining some credibility…

Just send him to Strabane… leper country

They wouldn’t have him…even if he does think he can cure lepers

We’d gladly take Harte here in Tipperary. He was down some key men this year and you could see Tyrone were building something again. They are just as likely as Kerry to be challengers to Dublin over the next few years with the new faces. Pity he isn’t being given a chance.

Consensus is Harte will likely go for the job again and be reappointed on a three year term unopposed.

There’s no real standout candidate inside the county, nobody have really pulled something notable off at club level or underage level in the past decade. Canavan has said he won’t run for it while his son and son-in-law are involved. If Harte puts his name forward I can’t see any of the 03-08 players running against him and that should be that.

It’s a bit of a clusterfuck by the Tyrone board tbh. The best resolution was to give Harte a go for a full season with McKenna and McShane available and see how things go.

Glad you’ve finally seen the light buddy

The Tyrone club championship is so competitive and even that it’s not a special achievement to go and win it. It would be a special achievement for a club to dominate such a competitive and balanced championsip and no manager has shown their hand at that in recent years. It’s 15 years since a club did back to back Championships in Tyrone.

I love you, you crazy bastard

The red card in the 2003 final still the only sending off in a final that has been overturned on appeal? A red card that was the result of a dive, and then an opponent sarcastically clapped him off the field. Incredible to think it came only 2 years after Nigel Nestors red card.

Are you actually serious you headbanger?

Jordan was caught full flush on the jaw by Marsden, whether Marsden meant to strike him or not was definitely debatable but he did catch him square on the jaw when Jordan charged at him.

He did aye, the same way O’Connor caught O’Mahony full flush on the jaw in that video you posted up there. Brian White deserves at least as much credit as Harte for finally getting an All-Ireland for Tyrone.

Fellas, I’ll save @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloya lot of bother here. A decade or so earlier brian dooher was caught by a meath players heel . Dooher had a wee cut and needed a big bandage. Tyrone fans looked on aghast and vowed such tragedy would never befall them again, and if dooher could pick up a scratch like that then the only Avenue open to Tyrone was one which involved cheating, diving, sexual assault on and off the field, eye gouging, biting, drug dealing, dog fighting and various other crimes.
And enda lynn probably exaggerated a bit btw.

Not even comparable, what Jordan did was done for years - he was struck in the jaw with a closed fist and went down. Plenty of examples of this prior to it.

You’re an absolute headbanger.

Marsden never served a suspension, it was fully investigated and confirmed that Jordan dived. Brian White gifted Tyrone that All-Ireland, the choke was on again without his intervention.

You’re upholding the GAA appeals system as the defining body?

Marsden struck Jordan in the jaw with a closed fist - of that there is no doubt.

Sure didn’t Dermot Heaney dive to get Tony Davis sent off in an All Ireland final.
