UEFA Nations League

Ah here, that’s a sitter to a LOI player against a 40 odd year old keeper

He adjusted well to get onto it as it’s slightly behind him/on his left but he’s got to score for 7 yards to me. His striking and passing lets him down a lot for the good situations he gets himself into.

Entertaining game. Could have won it

The French told the Israelis what they thought of them tonight

Would a lot of that not be down to people fearing trouble at the match and avoiding it. The Stade de France has form for that kind of thing and the concourse outside would be lethal if there was trouble.

I believe it was organised

Doak was very good for the jockos tonight & John McGinn is a pretty likeable sort. Very good win for them, the red card changed everything as Croatia had been banging on the door for the entire first half. They really should have Lennon Miller involved already & Celtic need to SWOOP in & sign him.

Doak very impressive, everything good Scots did went through him. Gilmour could have had a couple of goals on another night. One thing I’ve noticed about Scotland under Clarke is that everything is done just a little bit faster, how they pass the ball, they’re quicker to release it, etc.

They’re a very decent side. A template for small nations like us.

I know they’re in a higher division than us but that was their first win in forever, coming off the back of a very poor Euros too (again playing better opposition there). They’ve qualified for those two Euros under him in 2021 & 2024 but had some long winless runs too. They even lost 3-0 in Dublin in Spock’s most memorable game. There seems to be a large jocko cohort who’d be fine with Clarke moving on, grateful for his efforts & achievements but wanting something new. Not quite openly agitating for change but think they can be more expansive.

In fairness, the jocks must be the worst modern sporting nation in the world. Finn Russell is probably the best domestic soccer player in Scotland. They haven’t even cracked rugby. You’d score 10-15 a season yourself over there.

Their fans dont follow foreign teams mate so they can invest in youth structure

They’re good at athletics, track cycling, curling and shinty.

like ETH and certain refereeing decisions, I don’t recognise that track cycling bullshit. The rest, may be so in fairness. There was a few of their kids in the summer went well I half remember, maybe a high jumper. Hard recall with all my footixing. My big thing at the moment is Arenal’s need for a game breaking left winger.

The scots have an excellent midfield. Light years ahead of our own.

I don’t watch football so I know nothing about it but is it not Arsenal’s main problem that they’ve signed a load of players who are good but not quite good enough for the level they aspire to?

Your cutting remarks about our* domestic game when you’ve had a few drinks is becoming a trend. A brace for Celtic’s 6th choice wide player Luis Palma for Honduras against Mexico last night. The jocko game is in rude health.

*jocko.

Sorry, had too many 2/5 shots turned over up there.

Think they just need a left winger, very solid everywhere else

Plenty Scotch fans follow EPL.

Scotland has the highest football crowds in europe mate per head of population
