The Nordic countries are not a good example of socialism. Socialism is an alternate economic system to capitalism, so you can’t take a country like Norway that developed great wealth through capitalism and then “became socialist”. That’s not how it works.

There is no example of a country that started out socialist and thrived economically.

They are socialists according to none other than you:

Socialist Europe would be old school socialism, France for example. Always results in a stagnant economy. The UK under Labour another example, big government collapsing under its own weight.

A stagnant economy like the US?

I get it now, anything you don’t like is “socialist”, it’s as simple as that.

Mad how the Nordic countries aren’t “socialist”, but the likes of Giscard d’Estaing, Chirac and Sarkozy are.

And it’s really mad how New Labour was apparently now “old school socialism”.

But I guess the Nordic countries are “socialist” when Fox News and Trump are making up stuff about them, in the same way the US suddenly became “socialist” when Republicans felt like a rant against Obama, which was all the time.

The forum environmentalists are really sticking the boot into Trump now.

If Britain isn’t burning coal anymore, it should burn Redwood instead.

Buy British.

45 has put the EU in front of Britain for a trade deal. This sort of thing might impact on this election if there was a creditable opposition.

Are they playing a Gaelic football match against each other?

all Corbyn has is a coalition of chaos

@Tassotti - Its early days yet so we should curtail our excitement, but - the Sunday Times Scottish poll tomorrow shows the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party on course for 12 seats in that part of the United Kingdom. That compares with 11 seats in 1992 and 10 in 1987 and that was from a total of 72, not 59 as nowadays.

Nationwide - Observer has it for the Tories by 25, You Gov Sunday Times by 23. This is massacre territory.

Yeah it appears as though Labour are set for another massacre up north. Scottish unionists coming home to the Conservative and Union Party and the SNP having their hardcore nationalist support. Lefty unionists not motivated under Corbyn’s leadership up there.

Talk today that he won’t stand down even if when the massacre comes in.

A poll in The Times giving a favourable outlook for the Tories. Well I never.

Must be true.

Do you think that Labour aren’t going to get their hole handed to them? Corbyn and his comrades have gutted that party.

They’re shitting it mate. Any old pre game rhetoric trying to save face.
