I’d say the lad who wrote that article hit the nail on the head. Boris Johnson is a prime minister for the good times, when he can go around flicking towels at arses (metaphorically) and putting on a jolly good show. He gives the appearance of a lad who has no interest in having to manage a crisis.

When Boris was foreign secretary and he was being told bad news, he used to stick his fingers in his ears and sing “Rule Brittannia”.
