It is great that the Irish hold the balance of power in the U.K.

What do Labour have to celebrate exactly? They are still 65 seats away from a majority. It’s a bit like celebrating only losing by 9 points and keeping it to single digits.

Also, Sinn Fein, by refusing to take their seats in the British parliament are actually propping up the new DUP / Conservative government.
I am not sure that Sinn Fein supporters voted for this arrangement.

They reversed a 20 point lead in the polls, got rid of the Tory majority and had the biggest swing to the party since the 40s.
May is a lame duck now and her antics are dragging the Tories into the gutter.
Surely you can see why they are celebrating?
They have at best done the Tories a favor by demonstrating what an incompetent May is. If the Tories leave her in charge for long they are incredibly dumb, she is a train wreck.
