Ulster Championship 2024

That was bouning.

All over

Beggan under the kickouts now. Mental

Hampsey and McNamee have been immense.

Well done Tyrone

I can cope with losing like this

Who took that shot there with a man free to his right, he’s killed his team there

Tyrone made a meal of that. Worrying how badly we saw that out in the second half. I don’t think Monaghan did all that well in the second half.

What a great last few minutes

Unlucky Monaghan brilliant second half.

Kerry won’t be worried anyway

The opposite of Derry refusing to take the shot to tie the game.

Lost it with a gutless first half. Better team in the 2nd half.

Beggan will probably get MOTM but from a Tyrone perspective I thought McNamee and Hampsey were excellent at the back. Tyrone played without any sweeper so they were left one on one and Monaghan had plenty of space to kick that ball in.

Harte had a good game and was vital in that second half. McGeary was very good again.

Donnelly and Bradley disappeared in the second half after a good first half.

McShane looks way off it.

Conditions weren’t great but that’s the kind of conditions we may see from here on in. Our handling was awful, composure lacking, we had numerous openings where we had players through that should have yielded goal chances. McGeary and McKenna fluffed one trying to play the ball along the ground between each other, Donnelly fucked one up when he let Beggan catch him.

Hopefully we can get a few men back the next day. I’m not sure I’d start McKenna, he was poor today - did some utterly daft things.

Key people didn’t stand up for Monaghan today.

Donnelly MOTM?

WTF

Lump on Kerry for the AI. Monaghan were the only team that could stop them.

I hate Monaghan playing Tyrone at Croke Park. It’s a parable for life in so many ways. Despair will always crush hope. The system will always chew up the little guy and spit him out. Even the weather at Monaghan v Tyrone matches at Croke Park is always dull and overcast or raining. Monaghan v Tyrone matches at Croke Park always leave you feeling powerless and hopeless.

Between Strabane, Cookstown and Dungannon as well which would have a population of around 40k between them, Tyrone only have one panelist on the county team from clubs in those towns - Paul Donaghy - who is actually from Edendork and only transferred to Dungannon last year.
