Yeah, she’s the only one in the case with previous domestic abuse accusations too. Could be a ground breaker.

She shits in a bed for fun. She’s off her game.

It goes on a bit.

As long as there wasn’t an electric blanket involved, each to their own.

That’s the exact response that perpetuates things like this.

The Them stuff is by far his best stuff, right enough, because he is in counterpoint.

The preening way solo VM competes with the black ‘blues’ voice gets right on my wick. Compare Don Van Vliet, a genius.

Compare Karen Dalton, for voice. No contest, methinks.

No measure of technical virtuosity can transcend smugness. And VM is unbearably smug in the way of vaultingly insecure people for whom smugness is Prozac.

I don’t know any Irish album or artist that could produce Astral Weeks and Moondance.

Ah Astral Weeks is a brilliant album. Sweet thing and Cyprus Avenue are masterpieces.

Wasn’t aware of what Cheasty posted re Depp and The Sun, had read in one of the recaps that they had her on tape admitting to assaultimg him.

You’re probably right tbh.

Doesn’t do it for me. To each their own. Used to have a copy of it on cassette, the flat was burgled, all the cassettes were stolen. That was one I never replaced.

I don’t agree at all but I found that comment very droll so I’ve given it a like.

The Easter Rising volunteers were mostly a bunch of lunatics (socialists, dreamers, republicans) who have been held up as patriots and heroes, rather than the deranged zealots that they were. Holing themselves up in a buildings like GPO, Bolands Mills….sending poorly equipped young volunteers to their slaughter.

They were widely condemned and derided at the time for the carnage and civilian deaths, which numbered 374 (38 of whom were children). If it wasn’t for a twist of fate whereby the British executed the rebels instead of incarcerating them, they would be but a footnote in history.

History is written by the victors and it has looked kindly upon these. Pearse knew the folly but felt the sacrifice necessary under the circumstances. There’s truth in what you say but as in most historical conflicts it’s not quite that simple.

@Malarkey and @Fagan_ODowd …would yis rate Burial ahead of Van?

I might step in here if you don’t mind. Yes. Yes I would.

I’d largely prefer Burial.

Moondance is a very good record

Van Morrison greatest hits are good but his back catalogue is 75% dull
