That looks deadly.
I saw Trainspotting 2 in the cinema on Saturday night.
It was what I expected, not a patch on the first but a nice nostalgic view - lacked the dark tone of the original.
They destroy the huns in it, they would have been seething watching that.
When something is funny itâs funny
I agree with that all
A catchy song mind
I was surprised to see the rubberbandits feature quite prominently also
Boyle is a big fan apparently
Yeah Boyle is big into his music. Irvine Welsh loves the Banditâs music also.
If you accept that T2 isnât going to be anyway near as ground breaking or as powerful as the original then it is enjoyable enough. Great to see Begbie and Spud in particular back on the big screen.
The movie has a feeling of a caper at times as plot is rushed a little to keep the popcorn crowd happy.
What would have been great would have been a well made TV mini-series. Do one episode each that focuses on the lives of one person only and develops the characters more.
E1: Rentonâs life in Amsterdam
E2: Spudâs struggles
E3: Sick Boy being sneaky Sick Boy
E4: Begbie scrapping in jail and also some stuff about his family/son.
And then maybe another 2 or 3 episodes where the story slowly brings them all back together.
Did you read Glue?
Structured quite like what your suggesting there.
Even better book than trainspotting IMO
The culture of spoilers is alive and well.

Glue is a gem of a book. Welshâs finest hour imho.
Where exactly did I give away any spoilers in my post?
Yeah great book. I think one for its characters is in T2.
Doyle?
Could be wrong though
Havenât seen T2. Few of the trainspotting characters had âcameosâ in glue if I remember correctly
Yeah they are referenced in glue on occasion alright
I saw T2 last weekend. Much better than I was expecting. Well worth a watch.
Going Wednesday
