I’m trying to avoid Joker trailers. I wonder if it’s based on The Killing Joke which would be amazing. It’s R rated so that would make it more likely. It’d have to be slightly adapted if so.
Jaoquin Phoenix is currently favourite for best actor Oscar.

I think it could decent chunks of it could be adapted. There is a bit of a joker backstory in it. And some depraved shit. You’d just have to redefine the victim.
