US Masters Golf from Augusta National Golf Club

This is the east coast of the USA. If you leaned against some of the trees over there long enough they would fall over. Sandy soil and short roots.

That’s 15 unsuccessful attempts for Rory now at the Masters.

Of the 55 different winners at Augusta, only Sergio Garcia (19) took more than 15 attempts to land his first win.

McGinley is doing some amount of spoofing on SS now. I’d say his jocks are a 9/10 at the moment though, there’s only so many times he can refer to his 2 times appearing at Augusta and his Ryder cup captaincy.

He is essentially an even more talented Sergio. So often dogs it onthe big stage when it isnt going his way. Hed get more luck if he tried a bit harder, especially on those 4ft puts…ratherthan playing the frustrated genius

Rory’s number one fluffer, Joe Molloy, struggling to come to terms with it all. Has moved on to aggregate scores now. From different tournaments.

Rors can still do it guys

Your man nial lyons and Steve palmer both put him up and they’d probably be the most influential golf tipsters about.

They’ll have to give Spew Cahill his cut.

Lads like Cahill & Molloy passionately invested in an individual hobbyist in a non-sport like McIlroy is really fucking weird. It’s like being a rabid & enthusiastic supporter of someone who’s very good at subbuteo or something.

Is it any different to Paddy Footix so invested in Mancs v Scousers?

I guess sport v non-sport is the main differentiator. Team v individual is another one and teams generally have a more passionate backing. Now I obviously get individual support too in sports. For example, since I’ve become an ardent fun runner, I like to see the Irish go well in athletics but more so when they’re wearing an Irish vest & shorts/knickers in a major championships than in a regular meet event just representing themselves. But I’d place golf in the same category of hobbies as things like photography & knitting. I don’t post that to snipe, I’ll be fully behind Team Europe at the next Ryder Cup renewal and, hypocritical as it seems, I’ll be tuning into the start of this year’s Masters tomorrow night for the back nine to see how McIlroy is getting on.

The castle catholic embarrassed himself again :joy:… Not a great weekend for you tans.

What happened?

We just love him bro.

Supporting McIlroy is a state of mind.

When The Big Cat was purring everyone got behind him too.

Outstanding

JT going home early as well. Rahm made a bit of a hames of the last but he’s near enough if good enough.

Is it mad to be looking at the amateur Bennett at 40/1?

This is a farce.
