Correct, America is a very violent place, the Americas in general actually. The murder rates in some of central America are absolutely horrendous. It’s simply not as evolved as Europe.
It is getting better though, violent crime and murder has been decreasing for decades.
Part of the problem over there is I reckon is that there is little or no middle ground at either working or middle class level. One classes themselves as either right or left. Theres a huge vacuum in the centre but to date nobody over there has been able to step in there
It’s best to do you own research from unbiased sources mate. Try and get to the actual data, as opposed to the spin news organizations put on it. CNN, Fox, MSNBC are all horrendous, just pandering to their (very small) base.

All joking aside mate, I think the most disturbing thing in America of late is that the fundamental part of the Declaration of Independence (“all men are created equal”) has been eroded, and it is fully evident that liberals in the US value the lives of Black people and foreigners more than the lives of White people and Americans.

Nope, most people are in the middle, both working class and middle class. 40% of people identify as Independent and might lean Democrat or Republican, but could vote either way depending on who is running. Democrats should own the middle ground but have veered too far left. Not that it did them any good as we will end up with Biden.

I know that you can make arguments down through the years that some presidents kn both sides have been fairly central in their leadership. But looking at what’s going on at the moment, it seems that there is a slot there for someone who can just get right down the middle of it and sort it out from there
