Joy Reed claims here (1m55s) that every black person she knows “feels hunted”. Wonderful. That will surely help to ramp up the mood of the rioters and looters. The media has a moral duty to inform citizens and to support democracy.
rioters and looters. The language itself is telling. Nothing about the majority of protesters who arent either rioting or looting but protesting, as is their right, for change.

Her language will drive the criminal element on. The peaceful protestors will hopefully remain peaceful. Do you genuinely believe that Black people are being “hunted”, as she claims to feel?

I’ll refer you to my earlier post from Troy Vincent where they have to go through procedures and talks with their kids just so they stay safe when they go for a drive.
I’m not black. I cant talk for them. But if they feel hunted, then regardless of how she phrases it, and considering the way parents of black kids have to educate them on how to stay safe from police, that in itself is telling and surely not the way things should be.
There was a high profile example of a man out for a jog hunted down and murdered a couple of weeks ago. What do you not get?
Black people dont have enough vitamin D and are more susceptible to the virus than white people due to this deficiency … Even genetics and virus’ are racist.

Joy Reid says every black person she knows feels hunted, and the best you can offer to support it is “an example”? You’re being driven, not by supporting data, but by the deaths of specific people. Like the classic lefty you are, you’re bound by your reactionary ideologies.
FBI data for 2005 to 2014 shows that Blacks accounted for 40% of police killings, but as Blacks were approximately 12% of the population it meant they were 4.5 times more likely than people of other races to kill a police officer.
What are your thoughts on these numbers? Or is it racist to point them out?
The Zimmerman acquittal is another example. He ran after the young lad and shot him dead. He pleaded self defence and won. If white citizens are allowed to murder unarmed black people then the police would understanbly believe they should be allowed to also.

My thoughts on those numbers for what it’s worth is that there is a vicious cycle within that community in America.
If Blacks are 12.5% of the population, and they have that much violent interaction with police then it is either instigated and/or reciprocated by the police.
My view would be that there are massive underlying issues, be it prejudice, education, poverty, whatever that cause a minority to have a disproportionate amount of violent interaction with police.
Now this is obviously a two way street. That minority would be inclined to violence and disrespect towards authority based on perceived or justified prejudice and vice versa with the authorities. They’d be inclined to go in mob handed.
What we are seeing now is the culmination of years of hate, from both sides, that was allowed to fester, unchecked. Incidents on both sides, both wrong allowed to continue without ever attempting to correct behaviours on both sides.
It’s an utterly fragmented societal relationship.
