US Politics - A Society in Meltdown

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

I didn’t say the killing wasn’t racist. But to assume it was from the start is dangerous.

Take your eyes for a test drive there buddy

Inroducing laws that allow citizens to take the law in to their own hands acts as a clear signal as to what is acceptable and also as an encouragement to the likes of Chauvin that they’lll be given the benefit of the doubt. The president’s imbecilic behaviour also encourages it as can be seen from those photos further up the thread.

Red herring alert

Apologies for bringing race in to a racism discussion.

No mate, but there’s an English couple living down the road from me and I’m thinking of heading over there today and demand they prostrate themselves on the ground before me and apologize for the Irish genocide. They also look well to do so we might have to also discuss reparations.

So you think that the relationship the cop had with Floyd at the nite club should not be looked into, no?
You need to take back out your Nancy Drew novels

"I would rather see ten guilty men walk free then one innocent man convicted "

It has no bearing on being held down on a public street by a handful of murdering scumbags and having your neck knelt upon until your last breath

More utter stupidity and ignorance from you. George Zimmerman was Hispanic, don’t forget Hispanics also suffer from racism and discrimination in the US. He didn’t run after him and shoot him, he followed him and they had an altercation. Trayvon Martin got the better of him and was slamming his (Zimmermans) head repeatedly into the pavement. Zimmerman claimed he shot him in self defense, the jury believed it. The end.

Ah lads, I’ve heard it all now. That has to be the most stupid post on this topic yet

Similar laws exist in ireland, and around the world. Plus they are introduced by states.

No one is arguing what Chauvin did was reasonable or acceptable, unless you can show me some examples?

These laws and police brutality predate trump im afraid, every single thing that happens can’t be attributed to him. Do you blame Obama for what happened in his tenure?

You support murder in broad daylight then?

You’re a numb nuts.

If possible that’s an even more stupid post

I watched a documentary which dealt with this once. It was pretty brutal. One kid was set upon so badly that he had to leave the city entirely. Went to live with his aunt and uncle in LA. They showed him going back from time to time, but for the most part he never really got back to Philly at all, and when he did he felt like a stranger. One of his friends used to come visit him, but he was never made feel at home by the uncle, who incidentally also worked in the law profession. Man, he’d just throw that poor kid out of the house repeatedly.

Harrowing stuff.
