Urban warfare is always brutal, civilian casualties are generally at 80-90% of total casualties. Gaza is densely populated and 1M of itās 2M inhabitants are under 18. Israel target Hamas combatants and donāt care about civilian casualties. Itās an interesting ethical question, worth studying, as technically they are allowed do this under the terms of article 51 of the Geneva convention. If you study the history of war deliberately targeting civilians rather than combatants is common, which is clearly violating the Geneva convention. War is brutal, how many civilian casualties in the past 20 years alone, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Sudan, Uganda, Nigeria, Somalia, Ukraine, Gaza and dozens more.
Those who consistently target civilians including children however are Islamic terrorists, but you wonāt hear of any criticism of them. Not a peep out of you on the deliberate slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians in Iran by Islamists for two months, but instant outrage when civilians are tragically killed in an attack clearly targeting a military site of the murderous regime.

Lots of bullshit there. Wrong on the Geneva convention. Why do Israeli snipers consistently murder children? Why does Israel consistently murder aid workers and ambulance crews? Why does Israel consistently murder journalists? Why does Israel consistently bomb schools? Why does Israel abduct children and sexually abuse them in prison? Thereās clear patterns here, Israel consistently targets and murders children.

I think itās quite clear why they did murdered and abducted so many. It was horrendous. There was no systemic rape though, thatās an Israeli thing.

The problem is there is no way to topple the regime without a war. They are not going to just exit stage left due to condemnation, they donāt care, and they will fight to the last Iranian to hold power as the alternative is the gallows.
Comparisons with other regional interventions are not really relevant. Most Iranians are not seriously religious and are quite homogenous, they would revert to a secular society tomorrow if they could. Hopefully that will be the outcome, getting there will be tricky.
