US Presidential Election 2016: Sidney's Victory Lap

He has no control over who endorses him. I agree this is a huge gamble for him, but the reality is a Tea Party candidate cannot be elected president and he is smart enough to know that. Fox is strongly aligned with the Tea Party so distancing himself isn’t a bad idea. On social issues alone like women’s rights Fox are poison to any potential candidate as anyone extreme on social issues is essentially unelectable. I have no idea what his motivations are either but it could be a move to the center which, regardless of who the Republican candidate is, has to make at some point.

True. He did, however, put her on stage in front of the cameras at his press event.

She is an utter moron. She’s had a makeover and is distancing herself from herself at this stage which is a good move.

You seem to be distancing yourself from reality.

Trump doesnt need any debates. As long as ISIS keep doing what they’re doing, hes laughing.

Id say the amount of shit that will come out about Trump if he wins the Republican nomination will be huge

He has the money to fight it.

The early going in the Republican race is always batshit insane because winning the first few primaries is about being as right wing as possible. Even Trump would have to rein it in big time if he won the nomination. Not a hope he would win the real thing with that persona.

The analysis indicates that last nights move has helped the Trump republican nomination

I watched The Mad World of Donald Trump last night. It was great entertainment, the guy is box office.

His speeches are superb entertainment. They should go the whole hog and make it text voting to fuck. Eliminate them week by week. A sure fire ratings winner.

never mind

Early results point to Clinton and Cruz winning their respective caucuses in Iowa.

Clinton and Sanders close as expected. The news on the Republican front is Rubio doing well in a state he wasn’t expecting to do that well in. If Trump falls to third it could be curtains for him.

Rubio actually seems to be gaining, Washington Post now reporting Cruz 28% Trump 25% Rubio 22%.
2 points between them in the Democratic caucus.

Ol’ Jeb Bush with a measly 3%. That’s got to be a sickner for the Bush clan.

He’ll surely withdraw after that, can’t his funding extending beyond Iowa with that vote.
Sanders just gained another point, with the caucuses with the largest numbers yet to report. Could be about to go awry for Hillary.

Hillary will prevail in the long run. Iowa, and New Hamp are always a bit odd. Over the long haul she will pull away in the bigger states. But fair fucks to him, he’s making a great run no one expected of a Socialist. It will be worth some political capital in the long run.

Trump and Rubio now very close. Trump’s decision to skip last debate now looking a mistake. Sanders could also overtake Hillary at the finish line.

Looking good for Rubio. You’d expect the other cunts that didn’t break 10% will drop out after NH and he will pick a good chunk of that vote in the remaining primaries…

They just called it for Cruz on the GOP side.
