Ireland is one of the most expensive countries in the world to live ā with crippling rents. Unless the immigants are coming with decent qualifications or are highly skilled (majority are unskilled)-
How will the immigants get by? ā (those living below the poverty line for non EU people in Ireland currently sits at 30% - which is incredibly high)
Sure ā in theory Ireland can take millions more in ā in THEORY. But thereās also reality where the majority of us have to live.

How does that work in reality? The highly skilled wonāt be taking those careers. The unskilled dont have the basics to qualify for the most part. Thereās a middle ground alright but itās 4 years full time to become a teacher, nurseā¦ 8 for doctor.
Are you suggesting we create a system where the pathway into these jobs are made significantly easier and funded for immigants over irish kids that want to pursue them?

How you get unskilled migrants (the majority presumably with language barriers too) into teaching without opening a cans of worms and without addressing the current issues that are keeping people out of teaching - thatāll be some magic beans.
