That’s utter nonsense. She has run a very effective campaign and got her running mate choice spot on. Given where Biden was at the end of June, tumbling to certain defeat, Democrats would have bitten your hand off to be in this position if they’d been offered it then. If she pulls it off it’ll be remembered as one of the great campaigns ever run. You can’t do that without a strong candidate.

Every Republican candidate of my lifetime has been far worse and on the Democratic side only Bill Clinton and Obama were obviously more formidable as candidates.
