They drive the bus. The buck stops with them on this one, and also with Biden. The deterioration in that guy since he was Obamaās VP has been astounding. He was a vibrant man at that point.
Disagree on the first although Biden had left her in a bad spot. There was a way to speak to Israel and be supportive without supporting what theyāve done and are doing as Biden did.
And yeah, that was my point on the second. You asked what they should have done differently.
I doubt many could sum up Harrisās/the Democrats pitch for the presidency. Ultimately she didnāt make a convincing case.
I think the one thing K had going for was that she had the establishment onside and she probably thought they would do a good job of pushing her to the moon. They didnāt but she must have felt towing the line on Israel was her best shot. Biden fucked her as much as anything else. Mouthing āsheās not as strong as meā on camera and that kind of shit.
Personally I think they need to move on from Clintons and Obamas; donāt give them any involvement.
She had a good few moments and she had all the momentum at one point but lost it. She didnāt have a response on the economy and immigration and both should have been easy. She went from brat and joy to heās a fascist and said she wouldnāt change from what Biden did but without making a case for his achievements.
Ultimately they made a complete fuck of it.

My only experience of the place was Cape Cod for a few weeks years ago so Iām not best placed. He is beloved here anyway. I always got the vibe he unsettled Trump, he was there first, is better educated and is a fast talker. He can compete with Trump aura wise even though that makes little sense. MO always looks ultra confident, and composed. The likes of Beyonce and Taylor Swift just means more standing next to her, they probably overshadowed Kamala and while people loved it, the message got lost as they didnāt turn out. They definitely played the Taylor card too early but I suppose they needed the young crew to register, I dunno.
Itās going to be one of these ones where you will definitely be proven either right or wrong. I hope itās the latter. We should know within 6 months though
The Democrats have won 3 and lost 2 of the last 5 Presidential elections. The 2 they lost were with female candidates. That will most likely be a weighty factor in choosing a candidate for 2028.

Itās not nearly that simple. To create a world of total fantasy you have to be a supremely gifted demagogue. Trump is the most supremely gifted demagogue of all time.
Itās only when you see others try to say the same stuff as he does and how they bomb that you see how gifted at demagoguery he is. Trump managed to con enough people that the genuinely deeply menacing and threatening was somehow all a joke. But it isnāt.
Little things become big things in demagoguery. Trumpās biggest card was his voice, it hypnotised his supporters in a soothing balm, when he talks, for many of them, itās a quasi-sexual experience, and theyāre receiving. He also has the ability to ad lib in a completely oblivious way, as if heās on auto-pilot. Him being a serial rapist also does no harm with the people heās trying to attract in the way heās trying to attract them. And heās a CELEBRITY. America is totally obsessed with CELEBRITY.
Boris Johnson had two things - his hair and his cod Churchill persona, the ability to bumble and ad lib. When Liz Truss tried to do what he did, she couldnāt do it because sheās a woman and sheās an obvious cretin who looked like Mr. Bean on camera. The whole show fell apart. Rishi Sunak is a man of colour. That was never going to work.
Nigel Farage is a demagogue. He is good at demagoguery. This is why he is very dangerous and why the threat of him becoming PM and completely turning Britain upside down should not be dismissed.It is very possible.
My view is that Vance would bomb as president. Heās a total charisma drain and a terrible public speaker. Heās easily embarrassed and he gets angry in a way that is obviously menacing and repellent. But he will much more likely be shunted aside by a Trump than by a Democrat, because fair elections are now a thing of the past in the US.
Donald Trump Junior would attract significant support because his name is Donald Trump but he too is a terrible public speaker and has a menacing, threatening presence on camera and has no charisma. Eric Trump looks like somebody with cocaine induced lockjaw with snots running out of his nose and upwards onto his hair.
Ivanka Trump could easily market herself as a cod-progressive in reality fascist Barbie, but she might not want to.
