Useless cagers and annoying habits

hmmm, how many penalty points do you all have? I drive 30-35000 kms per year and have received no points since they were introduced. Cruise control and a decent car are the reasons.

No penalty points.

No I’d say its that you are a boring accountant cunt is the reason.

Easy grandad, you still upset about the driving license? Go drive the Comeraghs instead of Dublin city and it will cheer you up

Just @Kinvara’s Passion

Rattled

Past Tense…

Mondeo or a Caddy you’ll find me in these days.

The Caddy is getting the road shortly so @carryharry you can expect a PM over the next few weeks

A bit selective there.

In that post I said that I get out of the way when I see someone approaching behind be which is fair enough. Since then I actually don’t drive in the overtaking lane at all except when I have to.

Also that was a valid question on roundabouts? My earlier posts show that I have perfect knowledge of roundabouts which indicate that your man was completely wrong.

By the way, well done on finding the post. It only took you about three hours. It would be impressive if it wasn’t so sad.

As strange as it might seem, I don’t spend every waking hour on here farmer.

An earlier post said that you indicated on approaching a roundabout to signal that you were going straight on, could you clarify this one for me please?
This is what I was really trying to say but couldn’t articulate it as well as Rocko.

If there is a string of cars doing 100kmph in the left hand lane and I am passing them in the overtaking lane at 120kmph, I’m not going to slow down and filter into the left hand lane to let someone doing 150kmph get past, especially if he is flashing his lights demanding right of passage.
I fucking wish people like Fran and @Rocko would read the posts. No one has a problem with that.

Is this what you’re on about?

The bolded bit

Re the last roundabout, there were two lanes on approach (as there are with most roundabouts). It went from a two way road into a dual carriageway on exit. The left lane was busy, so I went into the right lane as is my right as the exit is onto a dual carriageway. There are even arrows on the road if you are thick. I indicated in the right lane and all. I think your man got the hump because he thought I was doing what he did on the first roundabout or something. He clearly lacked intelligence and knowledge of the rules of the road.
I indicated into the right ‘lane’ for the benefit of the car behind me. I cancelled the indicator immediately, went around the roundabout and indicated left as I approached the exit.

I have 2. Got by a van on Morehampton Road couple of years back. 55 in a 50 zone or something.

I was stopped on the Mullingar bypass about 2 months back and all details were taken. I have heard no more.

I’d say Rocko does it.

Opel Insignia drivers would be in that category as well.

I did a bit of International business travel by car last week. Drove down to Austria. Did about 600km in around six hours. Excellent roads apart from a bit around the border and very good driver behaviour. No one hogging the fast lane, and if you saw someone bombing up after you, you got the fuck out of the way.

Why can’t you Waterford folk just get along?

I made it safely to work this morning without any incidents of road rage or encountering any bad driver behaviour. I did at one stage do a manouver that might be termed as dubious but I don’t think I irritated anyone.
