On course for 120-130k with a big Friday? Is 27k a daily high?

It would be.

That’s encouraging but we’ll surely have to start vaccinating to the same level 7 days a week at some point

Not far off the levels needed to hit 1 million a month if going at it 7 days a week.

A number of pharmacists turned up to the mass vaccination centre in Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Friday with no appointments looking to get vaccinated.

They were abusive towards staff but in the end they were sent packing with their tae in the mugs.

The HSE have split up the pharmacists into two groups it seems. Those who are trained to give out vaccines and those who are not. The pharmacists that were already trained did have appointments for Friday and did get vaccinated.

The Irish people.

He needs to go

Do we sense there is anything genuine to the reports of the UK granting vaccines to Ireland?

It would make complete sense - imagine the difference 1m extra vaccines over the next two months would make. It would have Ireland ready to hope open up more or less in line with the UK.

1m vaccines is about 2/3 day supply for the UK at this point in time. To have the desired impact though you’d need to that volume of vaccines dispersed before May.

Is there any clarification on how many vaccines the Brits actually have at present?

To date they have distributed 33m, their rollout has not really hit any setbacks in terms of what the EU rollout has. It has been a case of steadily improving over the course and has been ramped up significantly in recent weeks.

They did mention some supply constraints were likely due to the factory in India stopping exports, but as you say 1m doses a month to us is nothing in terms of their overall roll out

It makes sense for all parties really in logical terms.

I know 3.7m vaccines are mentioned but realistically Ireland just needs 1m from the UK, the EU supply should pretty much do the rest.

The UK did 1.25m between Thursday and Friday. It’s a nothing figure really in terms of their roll out and the benefits are certainly all for Ireland and the UK.

The problem would likely be that spineless fucker Martin would not want to be seen as acting outside the EU. Hungary and Slovakia had no problem going against the EU and received no sanctions but Martin wants to be a good little EU poodle.

After Thursdays figures Ireland should be a little over 15 vaccines administered per 100 people.

The UK would have surpassed that on the 1st of February. So we’re about 51 days behind the UK at the moment.

That gap should decrease in the coming weeks as Ireland will get supply to catch up some bit.

The UK are driving on with first doses but the % of population fully vaccinated is very close to the percentage Ireland has.

The 27k administered yesterday is still only 50% of what the uk did per head of population. We’ve a lot more to do to start to catch up.

96k Moderna vaccines arrived in Belgium on Friday so you’d assume Ireland had 41k roughly last week.

So suppliers last week would have probably been along the lines of:

Pfizer - 75-80k
AZ - 12k
Moderna - 41k

@Copper_pipe does this tally with your estimates

I can’t read it. Even with the glasses on.

A look at the comments shows its basing it off the Denmark and Sweden schedule.

I’d say both @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy and myself would be more happy to follow the Belgium schedule which has been fairly spot on since we’ve been tracking it.

Belgium is lot easier to follow also due to the dashboard.

Issue I’d have with that is that J&J have already flagged supply issue problems.

I’d say the EU will be doing well to get half of what they have promised by the end of June.

We’d have to do 60k a day to hit the June targets in the link I shared. In Egg we trust.

I would speculate we are not at the current vaccines received, based off the Belgian loot received this week.

Pfizer promised 690k up until the end of March. It looks like they might surpass that as their orders usually come in on a Monday in Belgium which will be the equivalent of 80k so should boost Pfizer up to 730k or around that figure.

Moderna look to have fulfilled their order to with 109k received going by Belgian figures.

AZ have failed spectacularly though but a huge order is due in Belgium next week. Going by the dates, it is likely not to be received until Thursday which is in April.

This would dictate AZ only met 50% of their order, even incorporating next week’s shipment into the March figures it would increase that to 75% of their commitment.
