The E.U. seem to be completely dependent on the U.K companies and the U.S companies to bail them out with a vaccine.
Could the French or the Germans not try their hand at coming up with a vaccine.
The Pfizer vaccine was developed with Germany’s BioNTech. BioNTech and Moderna are the two leaders in mRNA technology.
I’ve criticised the EMA here for fucking around but this appears to be on AZ.
The facts are that they delayed their application until after they had already started giving it out in the U.K. They clearly weren’t ready for the production required.

Chatting to a work colleague (mid 30s) today who’d the vaccine got as a mate of his is a doctor and they’d a few going spare.
That vaccine should have gone in the bin.
Why would you do that?

My sums tell me we should have over 200k in deliveries by now from Pfizer and Moderna.
Pfizer 5x 40k deliveries (maybe a bit less after last week’s mix up).
Moderna 2x 10k.
