Your post: I know more than you about this so you are wrong (your standard line in a debate). Socialism is bad because look at (insert examples without context). Inequality is caused by corruption (except that in socialist countries it is caused by socialism, not the corruption there, contradicting yourself already at this point). Capitalism is good because (insert some examples out of context and overlook that socialism and capitalism can exist perfectly well side by side).
My post: the economic theory you like is a failure, and has been proved to be a failure by any measure.

Socialism and capitalism cannot exist side by side. if you’re referring to a mixed economic model, it’s just a nonsense term. All western democracies are capitalist, the reason they can afford social programs is because of the success of capitalism in building wealth. Capitalism creates wealth, socialism destroys it. You and your socialist cohort still can’t come up with one example of a country that has switched from a capitalist economic system to a socialist one and seen a successful outcome. The opposite is the case, China has abandoned socialism and brought hundreds of millions out of poverty.
Of all the strands of socialism, social democracy is the one nutters on the left like to point to, as it’s the only version that has any merit. Even though it has nothing to do with socialism.
