Its all kicking off here today. Guaido has launched “Operation Liberty” with the yanks cheering on from the sidelines. You’d have to think its a last throw of the dice by Guaido as if they army dont come over to his side en masse civil war is inevitable. On the flip side if Maduro retains the armies loyalty its hard to see him being ousted any time soon. Theres also the possibility that he commits a few attrocities…that would be foolish though as it would leave the door open for the USA to invade/launch a peacekeeping/humaitarian mission…

Hard to gauge what kind of support the insurgents have with all the spin going on. The Americans will have egg on their face if Maduro is still in power come the weekend.
CNN and BBC apparently taken off the air by the Venezuelan government. According to Pompeo, Maduro had a plane waiting to take him to Cuba but was talked out of it by the Russians.
Maduro is going nowhere yet anyway. I don’t think the other fella got quite the reaction he was hoping for

Away from whom? Nearly 300k who have fled have gone to the US. This is just you sidetracking from the issue. The type of person you criticize on this, like Marco Rubio (who I wouldn’t be the biggest fan of generally), has been calling out this repeatedly. The worldwide media gave a pittance of coverage on the unfolding chaos from the early part of this decade, in favour of the Syrian crisis which sold better.

The US demonises refugees in true fascist style and kidnaps their children yet Republicans are now feigning concern for refugees after doing their dammedest for two decades to destroy Venezuela
