The idea would be that if it is funny enough, then people will spread it around, and if it carries the logo and link back to this place then it would really boost the profile of the site and draw more traffic.

But ideally it would have had a link back to here on it (maybe it did - I didn’t see it).
I was using the lookalikes thread as an example. Create one big image, with a selection of the best lookalikes on it and link at the bottom back to here (something like “For more absolutely hilarious lookalikes and banter check out www.thefreekick.com”).
You share it on facebook, email, twitter etc, and if it’s good people pass it on, and it grows and draws traffic back to here. Plus the links & likes are very good to boost your search engine rankings.
The problem with more visitors on here is it brings more unwanted legal attention! Bandage’s report was more trouble than it was worth in the long run.
Agreed on the general idea, guess a few willing collaborators to help spread whatever “organically” would help.

Not directly. But without going into the details a few posts have been culled in recent weeks following a couple of different complaints from various persons. Bandage’s report may have had an influence in the complaints received.
