Do your own thing Farmer

I don’t think either of those statements articulate you point very well farmer but the first one doesn’t not make more sense.

Maybe a photo would make things a little clearer

Vincent on the rampage tonight. Take that Joe Higgins

Brian Hayes badly rattled. FG are “like an Italian tank” all reverse gears.

He destroyed Higgins there. Higgins replied with ‘what would you do to solve the economy then Vincent?’

Holy fuck.

Hayes does have a point on Morgan Kelly running for the hills after his article, instead of debating it.

Joe was like a goldfish in a bowl of dirty water. Gasping for air. Seriously I thought he was having a stroke.

Moore McDowell is an insufferable cunt. If he was any good he wouldn’t have spent a working life in a university.

Hayes is a battler all the same.

Morgan Kelly?

Ditto. We are taking our lead from people who only got the points to do an arts course in college.

It’s part of Morgan’s mystique. He glances around the corner, lobs the grenade into the crowded market square and legs it.

I only remember him being on TV once, on Primetime just after the guarantee, he destroyed Brendan Keenan but didn’t look comfortable at all on camera. Looked like he was breaking out in a cold sweat actually.

Aspergers?

Economics is not an arts subject

That’s as maybe. We aren’t taking our lead from the highest percentiles

but he did, as you say, destroy Keenan.
despite his discomfort, he offered his argument and cut across Keenan once he slipped up with his “we know what the losses are on the loan books, they’re 1%”. if only Brendan.
incidentally the rock-solid source he was relying on here was none other than Paddy Neary. how dumb do you have to be to be in thrall to that utter disappointment of a man?
although Keenan’s own arrogance, willingness to regurgitate the opinions of others and hog the mike meant some of the damage was self inflicted.
sadly it hasn’t stopped Keenan sitting in a few studios since then, or voicing (and indeed committing to print) his opinions.

Miriam was also her usual over-bleached, out-of-her-depth, ineffectual self. amazing how a woman so in love with her own image can be that oblivious to her faults.

So Geithner and Trichet only got pass degrees?

definitely has the acerbic tongue for it.
I’d guess maybe he just struggles to hide his contempt for those he goes up against.
Probably has a better idea than anyone what their incompetence will mean for the rest of us.

Can’t speak for them. My point is though that we are indecently quick to bow down to the likes of Honohan Kelly and others and don the white vestments even though there is no empirical evidence that they are any cleverer than the rest of us.

It’s not a question of who we bow down to but how we treat dissenting views. Many wanted Morgan Kelly crucified when he offered his initial analysis on the property market. Now that he’s had a dig at the class who are running the circus they are full of snide remarks and contempt for him again. In any case, the likes of Jim Power and Brendan Keenan who sneered at Kelly back then still have a platform to tell the serfs to take their medicine, and the majority will still applaud them. Sure it’s a great deal the ECB are giving us, the best bailout ever. Now shut up and take a pay cut.
