Vincent Browne

you like 'em big then?

The good looking girlies must be out to their Christmas parties tonight.

Jaysus Mary Lou is gone huge.

Who its the drunk with the loose tie and three day old I’ll fitting ‘tottiesque’* shirt.

John Drennan, pol corr at the Indo.

Ming Flanagan making some great points on this tonight. Did a good job of summing up why parish pump politics still prevails in this country.

Jesus Christ enda kenny’s response to the question about James reilly was sickeningly arrogant. I have a funny feeling Reilly just might be a bigger cunt than ray darcy. Even though I voted for the Darcy for the craic

As much as the initial reaction is to dislike, he is generally on the ball. A good man is Ming.

I enjoy listening to Ming, he fairly cuts through all the bullshit involved in politics. I wish he’d shit the fuck up going on about “my constituency of Rascamman” though.

Seems to be the latest strategy from his media advisers. I’m not sure who it’s meant to appeal to. Old school blueshirts maybe.

Independent deputy Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan is under fire for calling the gardai “a corrupt police force”.

Mr Flanagan made a stinging attack on the force, as thousands of people gather for the funeral of murdered Detective http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Garda_Siochana]Garda Adrian Donohoe in Dundalk, Co Louth.

The father-of-two was killed while on escort duty at a credit union in Jenkinstown, last Friday night.

However, Mr Flanagan has since apologised for his comments and admitted his timing was “bloody atrocious”.

Speaking on the Vincent Browne Show on TV3 last night, Mr Flanagan was highly critical of the gardai.

He described the release of information about fellow left-http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Wing_(musician)]wing Independent deputy Clare Daly’s arrest on suspicion of drink driving as “vindictive”.

Mr Flanagan said it was a vindictive action “by in my opinion, a corrupt police force”.

He said he knew a http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Fine_Gael]Fine Gael man, not far from his constituency, whose drink driving offence was not made public.

“And I believe that one of the reasons why it is a corrupt police force is because there is no oversight,” he said.

He said it meant all gardai were under suspicion of corruption because of it, and that was unfair.

However, later on in the programme, he said he did not believe the force as a whole was corrupt.

He said his point was that there was no proper procedure to make a complaint, and this brought all gardai into disrepute.

However, speaking on Newstalk Breakfast this morning, he said he “stupidly strayed into an area which I will talk about [in] the future”.

“I should not have said it,” he said. “The gardai are hurting. They are coming around to take care of each other today and the last thing they needed was me last night talking about corruption.”

He said he was sticking by his views on “the substantive issue” but his timing was “bloody atrocious”.

<p style="margin-left:40px;]His timing is off but he is 100% correct. The Gardaí are a political police force same as their forerunners in the RIC. This doesn't diminish the death of one good and brave member of the force last week. Every rotten organisation invariably has some very good people. <p style="margin-left:40px;]While the appointments of senior people and who they report to are still in the political sphere it can be no other way.

The Gardai of the area surrounding our local pub in a south Dublin suburb used to come in to drink their heads off, keep the bar open late and then all drive home. Usually once a week.

There’s plenty of them that deserve shooting in the head.

Especially the prick that arrested me for being drunk and “disorderly”.

May you die screaming.

Just tell us where you buried Kev’s body, you prick.

why did the other cop not return fire? aren’t they highly trained for that kind of situation?

i sincerely doubt it. each time a detective has been killed neither he or his partner have gotten a shot off. shows a distinct lack of situational awareness training

A shoot to kill policy ?

Mary Lou is gone to the dogs

Fucks sake Derval Mac Donald thinks we should compensate. With fucking what? We are bankrupt.
