@Tabby - yes every starter except McCarthy is with an EPL club.
Thanks atbandage. Is there any chance of him gettin a move?
It looks a decent side alright. I too would share Bandageās reservations about Ciaran Clark. He is fairly slow on the turn, rash and can be poor on the ball. While OāDea has his limitations he has for the most part been very solid fro Ireland over the last 3 years or so.
For all that Trap is slatted for being conservative there has been a fair changing of the guard since the Euros with Wilson replacing Ward, McCarthy replacing Andrews and Long in for Doyle along with the changes enforced on him by the retirement of Given and Duff. Shame we cannot get/keep St Ledger and Dunne fit, the two of them in the middle of the defence with Coleman and Wilson either side is a decent back four
Anyone know what the possible Welsh line up will be?
no
50 caps for Glenn Whelan. An injustice worthy of UN intervention.
What a guy
A hero and legend in the squad I am led to believe. Footballers know footballers.
Not much speculation this summer so far other than a few pieces suggesting Martinez might bring him to Everton. I would have expected him to move on though. Still plenty of time for it to play out.
Wales XI v Ireland: Myhill, Gunther, A Williams Ā©, Ricketts, Davies, Collison, Allen, Ledley, Robson-Kanu, J Williams, Bellamy
Poor turnout in Cardiff as they play the Irish national anthem twice
That was quite amusing.
The Welsh anthem is fucking awful.
That music they use on Sky Sports for international football is by Muse. I only discovered this a couple of weeks ago.
Yup, itās Starlight. Second track on the excellent Black Holes and Revelations album.
I canāt see this game being anything other than complete shite. Iām really only watching it from a sense of compulsion.

I was surprised. Itās a long way from the likes of Stockholm Syndrome.
This match is dross already. Weāre moving the ball around nicely, but Wales are at nothing.
Sad to see our players ignoring the apparent instructions of the manager to give the ball away as quickly as possible at all times.
Shocking from Westwood there. Fuck me.
Westwood:eek:
Fucking Whelan. Heās fucking cat, so he is.
Fuck me joe hart with another fuck upā¦Scotland one up
