Watching TV Shows Online

I am looking to watch shows like US Office and Soprano’s online. Is it possible to do so without downloading them or paying to do so? My knowledge of technology is limited. Any tips would be appreciated

Yes.

watchseries.com is a good one, but there are literally thousands.

Great idea Larry. I’d also like to know the answer to this question and would like to watch films online too, the likes of Shutter Island etc which i have heard so much about…

thats gone down.
There is nearly a hitch with every site, either asian text all over the screen, or like mega video you only get an hour a day unless you cough up.

Yeah that watch-series site doesn’t appear to come up with the goods julio.any other recommendations?merely looking to watch an episode or two so an hour a day is plenty.

I find downloading them is best. Streaming them is just too patchy.

Went on a downloading spree over the weekend, downloaded 4 series of 30 Rock, 3 series of the US office, the pacific and the first season of how to make it in america.

Torrents are easy Larry, just download a program like uTorrent. Then go to pirate bay and download a torrent for the show of your choice, just make sure it has as many seeders as possilbe. You just need to wait then.

google tv links eu…you can search for any show and then it will give you a list of links for it…lot of the links are megavideo which as has been said u can only watch 70 minutes a go and then have to wait another hour or so to watch again…download the divx player and the links from divx den are top quailty once you have a dencent internet connection… you can watch as much as you like too…same applies to movies…watch-moives-az.com is pretty good too …generally same rule of thumb as tv divxden links are best…failing all that down download foxyproxy and youl be able to get an ip address to watch almost anything on hulu nbc etc same as the rte player…can be slow enough though…

right so thanks tinnion.will utorrent etc work on a mac?

Yes but what’s the damage here? What kind of dough are we talking?

Nothing lads, but be careful of your downloading limit on whatever plan you have. If you off eircom your fucked anyway as they block Pirate Bay and the likes, but there are proxy sites that get you round this like hidemyass.com.

But if you use an O2 dongle or something you probably only have 15GB’s downloading, and boy if you go over that you can get fucked, really really fucked, so be careful. I got donw for 400 euros one month, was not aware at all of the limit, i argued them down to 150, but they told me i’d never get away with it again.

One hour of a tv show will be about 1GB, approx that is, so 15 shows would probably bring you over, Movies are bigger generally.

If you have Imagine or someone your flying, no download limits and no blocking.

Thank you to dunph, ncc, robert, julio, caoimhaoin, tinnion (thanked in no particular order)

www.sidereel.com…

gives numerous links for every episode… some you have to pay for some you dont
beware your only allowed watch 72 odd minutes on megavideo before they make you wait an hour to watch anymore so you can only watch 1 40 min show on it at a time…

Lots of helpful advice here but someone should mention the restrictions. e.g. on Megavideo you can only watch 70 odd minutes at a time and then you have to wait an hour before watching anything else.

You didn’t read all the advice so Rocko.

On that one - if you go with a dongle you should go with pre-pay, not much difference in the pay monthly prices. Also, downloading tv shows or even streaming them never works that well on mobile broadband, always better off with fixed line.

As for the size of the files, can only presume Kev is downloading in HD, I downloaded The Pacific and each episode is only 500mb. Personally don’t see the need to download the HD file. A full series of 30 Rock comes in around 4gb for instance.

This looks like a quality site for watching movies in good quality:
