Waterford Hurling (now incorporating intermediate football) 2013 and subsequent years

Give those Limerick cunts nothing, tip up the road there to O Moore Park.

Strange choice after the trimming they got from Tipp the last time they played them there

No point going to Semple, PUC is a sandpit, Ennis is, well you know, it was either there or Killarney I guess?

Jesus we must have cut them a good deal. The Blaas loves travelling up the N24.

Thurles was the obvious choice, they hurl well there & at least have some regard for your supporters.

Waterford to Limerick is worse than Waterford to Killarney trip wise.

What about playing it in Kilkenny?

Munster Council wouldnā€™t allow it.

I would have thought Derek could have integrated tactical sand-castle embankments into their defensive structure if it went to PuiC

Theyā€™ve a football match fixed for that date.

This McGrath gowl will be ran from that job before the Summer is out.

Sand or no sand, it canā€™t be played in PUC that Sunday because the Cork City Marathon is on.

Yes, thatā€™s why Cork - Limerick is on the previous evening at 7pm.

WD-Cork game fixed for Thurles as expected.

Edit: A right dose for Waterford actually, Iā€™d forgotten they have to go to Ennis as well. Three journeys up the N24 in a row.

Itā€™s actually a dose for Derek. He was just finalizing his We will fight them on the beaches speech.

Daft. Why not just play it in Thurles?

Do they want to play at GG seeing they are playing Lk there as well ???

I doubt it, but even if thatā€™s their thinking, itā€™s not a great reason to put an extra 2 hours driving on their supporters.

Fear of Tipp is the real reason Iā€™d say. GG is tighter pitch than Thurles which in theory should help against Tipp, but as Raylan says it didnā€™t do them much good last time.

Weak minded stuff for a team used to big days in Croke Park.

Was it definitely a Waterford decision? News reports just mention a Munster council statement.

Pretty sure it would be a Munster council call. With Cork Marathon on then the options were Limerick or Killarney. They were never going to play it in Thurles as it would be seen to be giving Tipp three home games and for optics if was always going to be a neutral venue.

Would be much better in a full Nowlan Park but that was never going to be a flyer.
