Myself and mrs barnes are in Dungarvan tomorrow evening for 20th wedding g anniversary. We are eating in The Tannery. Looking for a recommendation for decent pubs in the town.
There are a load of pubs to try. Beside the local is Paddy Foleys. Just an out and out boozer but always a bit of craic in there. Small place. Right across from it is the Lady belle, nice pub. Across the square is the Enterprise. Just off the square is Quellys. I think thatās a fairly loonnng pub. It felt that way the night I was in it! The Anchor, as has been said, and just up the way from that is the Moorings. Good for a few nice pints.
Paddy Foleys, grand boozer, no music, sport on the telly and thereāll be a few locals to have a chat with.
O Connors, youāll have to cross the bridge to get there. Similar craic to Foleys. Best pint of stout in town and at ā¬5 you canāt go wrong. Be grand for a few pre dinner.
Anchor, on the Quay. Grand outside seating area if they weather plays ball, looking fine here today so far. Would get a bit busy later on.
Iād give The Lady Belle a miss. Really gone downhill.
The Local is a great spot, but more of a restaurant these days. Anytime after 9 you should be grand though.
Enterprise, Queallys, Downeys be grand also.
Do not go to Tir na nOg or Nagles, although sitting outside Nagles youād be grand.
