Wedding Etiquette

You’d nearly break out the dress shorts for a wedding in this weather.

That was my rig last week. A white shirt with a bit of navy trim to finish the ensemble

It’s nearly too warm for the Fedora. I’ll be wearing the Panama to Bloom.

It’s 15 degrees in the capital today.

If it was October you’d be in an anorak.

Weddings should be called off once it goes over 18 degrees

By God. I thought everyone I knew was pretty much married but just got an invite for one down on Valentia Island. It’s the day before the All Ireland final. The last time I went to a wedding the weekend of an All Ireland final was 2008 in Madrid.

A wedding on Valentia, by God.

I’d be giving that one the blink if at all possible

We’ll go. We’ve kind of lost contact with a lot of our friends in Limerick and skipping things like that will only make that gulf bigger. Looking forward to catching up with lots of folks I haven’t had pints with in 5/6 years.

Not sure what thread to put this in but a good mate of mine broke the news to us during the week that himself and the missus are getting divorced. All very amicable it seems and both agree its the best thing for them. First of our group its happening to and the news completely floored us. We’d be friendly enough with both of them but it sounds like we won’t be seeing a whole lot of her again as the friendship historically was between himself and myself. They’ve 2 kids similar in age to ours and will split the time equally 50/50. Sounds like an absolute hellish situation to be in from all I can see but looks like its the best thing for them for the long term

How’s all in Gorey?

One of the wife’s side is getting married in London on st Patrick’s weekend next year in a fcukin private member’s club. The invite along with a dress code arrived on Friday. Needless to say my Shaws Almost Nationwide retro limerick jersey won’t make the cut…Twill cost a fortune.
