Wexford Under 21 Hurlers will play their first game of 2009 in the Bord Gais Under 21 championship versus Dublin on Wednesday next 10th June. This game will be home advantage to the Dublin men and will be played in Parnell Park at 7.30 pm. Extra time will be played if the sides finish level.

Following on from the success of the Seniors over Offaly in the first round on Saturday last, a large number of supporters from Wexford will make the journey to the Capital to cheer on their men. The team is expected to be announced at the weekend and will be posted on this website on Monday morning.

Mentors: Liam Roche, Mickory Stafford, Pat Boggan, John Wall and

Eamonn Scallan.

Mickory Stafford, Christ almighty. Best of luck to the lads. Hopefully they’ll do the panel thats been put together in the last 4 weeks proud. Sure as long as the county board save a few quid we’ll be alright.

I stand corrected Puke, thought it was tipptops brother who won the fantasy premier league. Pissed as a coot now so can remember the logic…

is waters still u-21 … shore is … anyone else from the senior panel… the kehoe chap who came on as a sub at the end last weekend perhaps…

any idea who else is on this squad

Thought Willie Doran and Paul Carley were the only subs brought on? Was there another I missed? Wouldnt say Waters is U21. He was on the same U21 team as Richie Keogh, PJ Nolan and David Redmond from a few years ago. Shore is. The likes of Eoin Moore and Liam Og McGovern should be involved if they’re not still minor this year? Paul Morris as well as Michael O’Hanlon?

Harry Kehoe of Cloughbawn was brought on in the last few minutes of the game aswell…

That the Shore fella that was in Knockbeg? Saw him kick some ball, serious player, nice fella, big animal for his age. Him and Kingston were midfield for Knockbeg one year if its the same fella?

Yep thats him alright. Good potential but a lot to learn. Still fairly raw but a lot to come from him.

Raw is the word alright, but jaysus some build to the lad. Sound enough sort too by all accounts.

What else would ye expect from a davidstown lad mac?

Quiet enough lad but not afraid to throw himself around. Once he fills out he’ll be some hurler.

Better than a Bree cunt all the same lad :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, ill have you know there is no cunt better than a Bree/Ballyhogue cunt. Is it true that the last time a Davidstown player played senior club level football or hurling is when they were last joined with Ballyhogue?

Theres a good chance of it, but the club has still managed to produce intercounty stars like Dessie Stafford, Robert Hassey, Greg Jacob and Andrew Shore - along with Andrew Egan the current minor selector.

Sure if they went Senior they’d have to level Boolabawn out!

Not forgetting jason o’briens brief intercounty career

and how feic has greg jacon managed to squeeze himself onto the county hurling team?

Brief is the word alright.

I still dont know what Jacob is doing there. Who was the last Ballyhogue lad apart from Tom Byrne and Jim Bob Levingston to be involved Padjo?

Eddie Galavan had an inter county career as brief as Jason O’Brien’s and before that Johnny Power was last lad. Good few of the current team played minor and u-21 for Wexford

Tis criminal Jim Bob aint on football team, he would have been the difference against Tyrone last year, feicin poltics…

I tell ye, if that Moriarty lad was still involved, you wouldnt have the likes of Jim Bob sitting in the stand watching it. A big game player if ever there was one.
