Knew that’d get a reaction alright.
Fading team I reckon-Adamstown and Bannow could sneak through that one.
Fair enough.
Presume you put down Fethard to get through for the same reason?
They’ll have it very tough this year as a few of their lads are supposed to be off travelling as well.

Not a chance Fethard will qualify from that group. The Sars could be in a spot of bother if players aren’t back from their travels. I’d fancy the Harriers to get through ahead of Cloughbawn - weird group last year where the Harriers, Cloughbawn and the Rapps all finished with 1 win behind the Martins (spit ) and Cloughbawn went through by virtue of hammering the Rapps even though the Harriers in turn hammered Cloughbawn themselves.

Ballyhogue are shit-they really need Jim Bob on his game. Taghmon still relatively inexperienced-did well last year though. Fethard could have a last kick in them-despite being in the relegation final I think they may progress.
taghmon in tourble this year, missing anthony breen due to travel, they now dont have a player over 6ft tall.

Fethard would be one of the early favourites to go down, i think they have competed in something like the last 4 relagation finals. With three losing out this year their luck might be just about to run out.

Shane Roche is playin with Gusserane next year, so big boost for them, hard to see past a team from the Ross district winning this again

Intermiediate Hurling Group C - talk about a group of death. No idea who will come out of that.

nah, group B is the group of death there. 5 teams in it (coz of rathnure being relegated but having the power to not be put down) so top 2 out of those will be hard to pick. Strange how the county champions most years get a handy enough group to get out of, Horeswood this year again getting a handy number. It’ll be interesting in the senior hurling who will go down, as there are 8 teams who are as bad as each other.

They’re down a few years now Fitzy. They were in the relegation semis last year in Intermediate to boot.
This year they have to come up against the hurling focused St Martin’s, perennial under acheivers St James’ and nobody-know’s-what-to-do-with-them Craanford.
DIfficult to see them coming out of that group.
The worst thing is that the Halfway is primarily a football club GMan, we should at the very least be playing senior.

thats nice?
Not sure I’d agree with your thoughts on Bunclody being more football tho. They’ve been going well at hurling for the last few years, and very nearly went up last year. and as Croppy Boy pointed out, they were in relegation in intermediate football.

They need to replace John Dunne and Mick Mahon.
