Wexford GAA 2010

Yeah, panel of 30 from last week. Started with a strong enough team but the worrying thing was the first choice defence conceded 3 goals in the first half. Lots of changes in second half and the team had little cohesion. Didnt create any goal chances and unsurprisingly Wexford just couldn’t cope physically. Limerick were impressive enough for a second or third choice team.

Mutley was on crutches alright but not sure what the exact injury is.

What kind of a team would Good COunsel College have out here??,not ten lads who are supposed to be sitting thier leaving cert next Week surely, teachers maybe,im baffled either way, whats a secondary school doing in a competition like this?

+1

Again

Sorry for my crude language, Moffat. I’ll leave it for our best local investigative journalist, Brendan Furlong, or one of the lads from the national papers to follow up on this one.

wexford hurler all over the papers today having partaken in a Television X porn movie with some english tramp going round ireland in a camper van.
you would have to ask what sort of ape is involved in wexford gaa these days when you have your supposed role models like liam dunne, stephen nolan and now greg jacb bringing shame on the county like that. whatever happened your gaa stars who liked a drink and left it at that?

once again the rackards will be turning in their graves.

Mac, Paddy Wickham, Des Stafford, Jason O’Brien, Rob Hassey, Andrew Shore and all them Delaneys, hang your heads in shame

Ah yes. So it appears that Greg Jacob actually is useful for something then. To Greg.

The GAA pushing social conventions to the extreme yet again. Greg Jacob - what a legend.

apology accepted… looks like the bould greg has been chatting to another adult entertainment actress on bookface according to that rag The Sunday World. perhaps he is looking for a career change, i doubt the landscaping business is thriving at the minute.

Nearly pissed myself reading the Sunday World yesterday. “Top Hurler” my hole. He’s never played a championship game for Wexford. He’s also an intercounty footballer allegedly but I’m fairly sure he never played higher than junior. Its such a nonsense story. Surprised none of them linked him to the brother in UK who’d be more famous as a good jockey. He’s also 27 or 28 and not the 24 he was quoted as being. Shoddy journalism on all the papers part.

Nothing to fear from Tipp goin on results.

Galway beat Cork by eight points in the League Final and then Wexford by 11 in the first round in Leinster.

Cork beat Tipp by 10 points in the first round in Munster.

Think we could shade this one if Gizzy’s appeal is successful.

Even without Gizzy I’d say Wexford should win this. If Ling is involved then a serious pasting for Tipp would be the only concievable outcome here.

its also worth remembering back in 2007 when we beat tipp in the qualifiers and everyone had written wexford totally off. Lot of people didnt even travel to the game as they expected it to be a whitewash… i remember heaidng into game with a tipp crowd who were over confident and i was there pretty much hoping we’d be within 3 points but a huge display and a sweet victory…
Wexford are a great team for winning when nobody expects them too

Cyril Farrell

“Limerick are in great shape. They put up a huge score there during the week. Now I know it was only against Wexford but it was something like 3-32 they scored”

Worst possible hurling draw really; not just Tipperary but away in Semple Stadium too. Frustrating that one of the three retarded teams will emerge from their Division 2 three way but the draw’s the draw. A heavy defeat will hopefully signal and copperfasten the appointment of Liam Dunne as Wexford manager. We could actually beat them though - aside from the 2007 quarter final, we defeated them in Thurles under Meyler in the league a few years ago but I can’t remember anything about the game. We’ll need our injured defenders back, a logical team selection, suitable tactics, a fair degree of luck and we’ll have to be fairly dirty too in a sly way, I imagine. Ah lovely.

I’ve heard the Wexford footballers are flying in training too. will be some new faces to the starting side, and a definite change of tactics and personell too. mutley and david walsh look to miss it. other than them, no other injuries to worry about.

from what i gather Graeme Molloy is back to fully fitness … and we have morrisey back along with joey wadding who was in good form in the league… Loch Garman abu
