Thoughts on the draw?

Main stuff first, what have Bannow been like this season? Obviously not very good but who’s group were they in and who beat them last weekend?

Good that St Anne’s got Kilanerin and will be dispatched. I don’t care for their kick it up in the air and run after it, neanderthal style of football. We could have an all north county, derby final and a repeat of the epic 0-5 to 0-4 League Final result.

I hope our St James’ contingent beat Rosslare. I heard Rosslare played the filth from Clonard in a challenge game the week before the quarter final. Rosslare’s quarter final itself was fixed for Hollymount so they got permission from the Shels to play the challenge game there and played it at the same time as the quarter final was going to be on the following week so they could visualise it and all that mental scheidt. Struck me as a bit over the top for Intermediate football.

I was hoping Clonard would draw Davidstown.

We’ll beat them townie cunts in the final Bandage :guns:

I need the bastards to lose the semi-final though - two are going up from Junior this year. This is the difficult with being out of the loop a bit when it comes to the local scene these days - I’ve no idea what Monageer are like but hopefully Marty Kelly and those lads are kicking some football still.

Marty Kelly and the 12 Breens will probably beat them alright.

Bannow were in with Barntown and Adamstwon and Kilanerin bandage. They played out the game of the year with Barntown in their 6 points to 2 goals classic. Clonogeen beat them at the weekend, but I didnt hear anything about how it went or that. Barntown thrown a lifeline drawing Ballyhogue, but they’ll find it tough against either the hogs or Sars in the actual relegation final. I think Sarsfields could have missed a golden oppertunity against Taghmon.

WRT the semi finals themselves, on form it looks like Kilanerin and Castletown could meet, but Adamstwon proved themselves against Horeswood, and they have a lot of very decent lads coming thru from u.21 grade. And with the Annes out of the hurling, the focus should be on football, and they are more than a match for any team. I’d expect Kilanerin and Castletown to get through, they both looked very good at the weekend, but Castletown are chokers of the highest order.

I know Roslare are gone to absolute shit in the hurling, I saw their match against Ross there last week or the week before when they got hammered. Lads about 3 stone overweight playing, and subs having to get helmets off the players as they were coming on. Absolute sha of a set up, so maybe they are all about the football this year.

Ballyhogue v Glynn will be epic

Neighbouring parishes who fooking hate each other, brilliant

It will probably be something like 1-2 to 0-4

Fook the Carleys :guns:

Is Philip Walsh still playing? Was it him that there was the controversy over with a transfer to glynn?

he sure is (spits on ground)

His inter county hurling career really took off after he joined Glynn didn’t it?

He was better off going to Glynn anyway-ya couldn’t play hurling in Ballyhogue as the fuckers never cut the grass there.

where is ballyhogue?

Other side of the river to Oylgate/Oilgate/Oylegate.

About 40 Km from Fethard

in the middle of no where (literally) a bit north of Adamstown, and neighbours Glynn and Davidstown. South of Eniscorthy. There is no reason to ever pass thru the area, as all main roads surround it.

Right bang in the middle of the county KIB, on the banks of the Slaney

Gman, I think you will find the main Wexford to Kiltealy road passes thrugh the parish, ahem…

Why is the team always referred to as Ballyhogue and never Bree?

I knew a lad from Davidstown long time ago - Sean O’Leary he seemed destined for great things. I suppose Mac will fill me in what became of him.

You supposed wrong.

The orginal club was set up by a bunch of hicks from side of the parish i suppose, and the name just stuck

Was there ever a pitch in Ballyhogue padjo?
