Wexford GAA 2016

I donā€™t think weā€™ll require a replay - Iā€™m confident weā€™ll beat them on 21st May.

Thereā€™s been a recent history of championship draws in this fixture - 2008 and 2013. Wexford to win in a replay in Innovate Wexford Park.

Wexford avenged last yearā€™s loss by defeating Westmeath by 5-15 to 1-12 in the minor hurling championship earlier.

They are playing Dublin in Wexford park on 23rd April

Outstanding use of social media to keep the public informed.

I couldnā€™t resist typing that.

You still, after all these years complaining about their use of social media in reports, updates and scores, seem surprised!

I see they have a tweet on functional movement today. If I didnā€™t know better Iā€™d accuse you of being behind it.

In other news, the CCCCCCC in their infinite wisdom have rescheduled matches from next Saturday to next Friday night with notice only given this morning.

A bullshit reason offered too. Itā€™s some shambles of an organisation.

A joke, the Annes knew an hour before we did on Sunday morning.

How they thought that Clongeen would hold 2 games i do not knowā€¦

They did actually tweet that the games would be cancelled too after all. Well at about half 3, which wasnā€™t much use seeing as one was to start at 2 and the other at 3.30.

ROFL!

LOL!

Etc.

Minors have just beaten Dublin after Extra time. They level

They levelled in added time to send it to extra time. Encouraging result!

Ah lovely

My auld lad told me it was a superb game before going on a rant about the GAA getting rid of minor. Rory Oā€™Connor, son of John, and Conal Flood, son of SeĆ”n, were very good according to him. Wexford were 4 behind in the second half after Dublin hit a quick 1-2. Presume that victory means weā€™ll get a harder semi-final and get knocked out.

It was indeed a goog game. Dublin probably should of won it in normal time but Wexford were excellent in the second half of extra time. They brought on on a big lad number 20 Liam? He had a big influence. Wexford will now play Offaly or Westmeath in the semi-finals while we have to play Laois to see who gets the dubious honour of playing Kilkenny.

Liam Stafford (Adamstown) according to the programme:

Yeah. He had a great second half and also a great extra time. We missed a scatter of frees all through. 11 in total. The Wexford llad missed nothing. Wexford pretty impressive overall and if they donā€™t do their usual brain fart in the semi final will have a good chance of a Leinster.
