Wexford GAA 2016

Is there many other Hanrahan shops in Wexford town mate ??

Donā€™t think so, pal. Itā€™s Mikey Hanrahanā€™s Londis up in The Faythe. Iā€™m delighted for the Sarsfields defender, his staff and the winner.

Just wondered why @Appendage was questioning whether it was Mikeyā€™s shop as opposed to another Hanrahanā€™s shop.

Did they used to have the Londis banner @bandage?

Certainly the shop in the faythe wasnā€™t always owned by Mikeyā€™s family.

Iā€™m all over the place on this. It is currently Londis.

Wasnā€™t always Hanrahanā€™s though.

Ah lovely

Smart move un retweeting that.

Has Shore done his cruciate or have I been led astray?

@Gman - is batinā€™ tyres part of the coaching curriculum in Wexford still? I saw a bunch of 8 year olds hammering 'em on Friday night.

sure what else would you use a hurl for other than batin tyres?

Surprised at it, the courses the coaching staff in the park are running for the very young and to help the coaches for the young are very good and wouldnt really have batin tyres a high priority.

@Appendage, please list this weekendā€™s senior hurling championship scores.

I will in my fuck.

So Andrew Shore has torn his cruciate. Thatā€™s quite a blow as he was one of our few standout players in the league.

Senior Hurling Results:
Gorey 2-15 Shelmaliers 1-14
St Martinā€™s 7-24 (Seven Twenty-Four) St Anneā€™s 1-14
Rapparees 2-17 Glynn-Barntown 2-15
Oulart-The Ballagh 2-16 Cloughbawn 1-18

Hā€™on the Martinā€™s

8 days away from the double header in Croke Park and youā€™d swear it was November thereā€™s so little enthusiasm. Iā€™ll be heading along anyway but fully expect to come home having witnessed 2 bad losses.

Anything positive in either camp to give us some false hope?

There were similar levels of disinterest in 1996 ahead of the first game.

i think the footballers could do well.

The hurlers however i am not so sire, seem to be all at sea really.

Will this be the first day out in croker for Big Daveā€™s Wexford side? I cant make it due to other commitments which has me sickened any idea if both are on tv? Football is hardly onā€¦

Think the last time the footballers played in Croke Park was against Meath in 2013?

Hurling is on TV. Weā€™ll have to follow using a combination of Twitter/updates from @Bandage and @Gman and (breathes deeply) Spratt.
