i never thought he was that good a free taker, forced them a little too much. Shanley is a great free taker.

Brosnan is a good long point scorer, i wouldnt imagine he will last the whole match given there are some options on the bench, any ideas as to what way they’ll play? John Tubritt might come out the field a bit and himself and Kog do the donkey work, leaving the other 4 in, hopefully, space…

What relevance does being second top scorer have? He’s missed more than you would expect of a top level free taker in a lot of games. Wexfords game plan often relied on drawing frees from defenders as we never have 6 natural scoring forwards so having a quality free taker is even more important. Anyway, I’m sure we’ll continue to disagree so I’m gonna leave it at that.

I’d need to see stats on number scored v number missed but I’d be confident he’d be in the upper echelon if you ranked everyone based on frees scored vs frees taken.

Statistically Brosnan may be in the upper echelon but he just missed so many when we really needed them, was it four in second half against Dublin in 2011?

Any truth in the story that Chin is fully fit and can’t play now because Dunne didn’t name him on the panel submitted Thursday? New rules brought in this year.

I’ve no idea if Lee Chin us playing today but I’d be of the opinion that dummy teams are a load of bollox. The opposition invariably get the real team anyway.

In retrospect though, dummy teams have worked well for wexford recently (e.g. v kilkenny last year) so may as well fire away.
