Wexford GAA 2017 - Gorey Gorey, the Messiah is still here!

A very warm welcome to our new senior hurling manager, Davy Fitzgerald.

Thanks also to outgoing manager Liam Dunne for his wholehearted efforts in the role.

I understand that some, all or none of the following will be part of Mr Fitzgerald’s hurling management team:

Paraic Fanning - coached Waterford under Davy, coached WIT to Fitzgibbon Cup (pinnacle of GAA) success on more than one occasion, grandson of former GAA President.

Keith Rossiter - Oulart-The Ballagh stalwart and former Wexford senior hurler. Retired from inter-county hurling at the end of the 2014 season but still going strong for his club. Oulart are preparing for another county final on Sunday week against Cloughbawn.

JJ Doyle - outgoing Wexford U21 hurling manager who led the county to 3 (three) provincial titles in a row between 2013 and 2015. We were defeated in the 2014 and 2015 All Ireland finals to Clare and Limerick respectively. He also had success prior to that with the Wexford senior and intermediate camogie teams.

More news as TFK’s Wexford GAA correspondents get it.

OMG. Our year!

Suppose to be

Wexfords year 2017

Wexford GAA must have deep pockets

Deep pockets with short arms.

Is Donal Og going with him???

Deeper then JP but have they the players now??

Decent U21 teams…Davy will have them competitive at the v least.

KK are arguably on the wane…this is a great appointment for Wexford and hurling in general imo.

Davy like him or loathe him is a winner.

Clare and Limerick are must be better then them ???

All 3 counties are way off this and last years semi-finalists as of now.

That can change though…hopefully fairly quickly.

True then you have waterford

Waterford no 1
Limerick no 2
wex no 3
clare no 4

rank them 4 counties

Roll on Leinster Championship 2017.

The night of the draw next week I bet Wexford will be called “Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford”.

Put your next holiday to Florida on it.
