I’m actually packing up my stuff right now. I can’t wait to get home for good.

I’m feeling very homesick. I want to go home and play hurling.

What was the reaction amongst attendees to Sinn Féin’s electoral success?

“Paul Galvins Wexford” putting London back in their box.

This amused me last night. You could see Derek Kent straight over to Davy at full time, arm on the shoulder, presumably telling him to leave it and saying nothing to the ref.

Wexford 4-15 London 1-9. FT.

To take down two different major European cities in less than 24 hours is very, very impressive.

@Fitzy who is the Garda that played corner back for the Wexford footballers in the 1980s?

From the Halfway? George Rankin would be the only guard I can think of who would have but he would have been too old probably in the 80’s and I’m not sure if he played for the county.

Is he not a Laois man?

No not him. I met the guy when he was working for the International police force, on behalf of the Garda, in Sarajevo around 2002. He knew my 'oul fella.

Did Bunclody have many lads on the county team in the 80s? Could have been the U21s?

He might well be actually. He is a great coach, led the HWH team to the '85 county championship win.

I know who you’re talking about (PM sent), but didn’t think he played anywhere near that level. HWH won the county championship in '82 and '85 so we were very strong and there were some younger fellas on that team who may well have played some inter county at barious age levels, but I couldn’t tell you exactly who.

165 games for his county? A living legend, bravo Brian Malone.

He made his county debut back on July 8, 2006 against Monaghan and, for the next 112 games and up to 2014, he missed only one single game – a league encounter in 2010 versus Fermanagh.

That was some game to make a debut in. A proper septic atmosphere in a miserable rainy Clones. The Monaghan lads were going mad that Mattie was playing after Shane Sullivan had fallen under his boot the previous week. It was the most poisonous atmosphere I’ve ever seen at a GAA game.

We were in the big stand and were close to a window in the Wexford dressing room, or walked by the window on the way out. The absolute roaring out of them in there after they won was priceless. The Monaghan lads were completely sickened and I’m fairly sure Mattie scored 1 or 2 absolutely crucial points that day for us to win 0-11 to 0-9 or something.

Wexford 0-6 Sligo 2-2. HT.

Sligo will have the gale behind them in the second half, according to Wexford GAA twitter.

35 minutes to keep promotion hopes alive, I feel.
