Wexford GAA 2022

He does a huge amount of thankless work elsewhere so it would fit in with his natural ethos!

I think David Murphy would be a good shout. Has done the local circuit and is still kicking a bit of football for the Marys

Go outside the county or has the Galvin experience made that a bit unlikely fir a while

Galvin and Banty both fucked us up badly. You’d want a football equivalent of what Eddie Brennan was trying to do with Laois.

Think we need a manager who is in the up and would view the job as a chance to show their worth

Liam Spratt could be the Wollie Parkinson

Has he won anything on the local circuit?

Who was the Starlights manager the last time they won?

Anthony Russell

Would Anthony Masterson be a contender too?

Did a decent job with the ladies team to be fair. Involved with the Gorey Community School team who had success there in the spring too.

@gman will be along shortly to tell you why this wasn’t a good thing

Joe Hagen was who I was thinking of

No not at all. Masterson is a good coach and doing good work. My issue is that as the specific footballing coach for the county, he is working with 1 school and 4 clubs.

He was manager in 2017 I think.

That was my point. I assumed his Gorey School work was effectively being funded by the county board

I’d take Jason Ryan or even Pat Roe back.

Never go back.

Ryan’s last couple of years were shocking…get to midfield and stay thete until something opens up or you lose possession.

Suppose he didn’t pull so up any trees in Kildare apart from the qualifier win over a declining Cork. He was nearly in the running for the hurling job this time last year randomly enough😅

2011 was a great year to be fair. 2012 was going well too until the shock defeat to Tipp in the qualifiers.

Skinny’s certainly not up to much
