Sure the way it’s gone now no one plays full back.
It’s all very fluid.
I see no harm in trying it out.
It’s Westmeath like. We’ll win in a canter…

They lost the quarter final 2 days ago. Perfect game for him to go in and get on some ball
No guarantee Reck plays at full back, imagine it will be horses for courses, can’t imagine they’ll leave him there slugging it out with an old school full forward.
Simon Donohoe is the man to stand in at full back
Lads, we are gone back to U-21 I think. Can minors/u-18s play at that grade?
As far as i know yes. Co board meeting tonight so probably discussed at that. Its only one grade up
Your peiladóirí will prove a tricky assignment for our warriors on Sunday.
Please tell me there’s a hoor of a row in the camp and they’ve downed tools.
I wouldnt hold out much hope on our lads to be honest. Still figuring out our beat team, but i think the problem is that there is a severe lack of any decent options and its all a bit of shuffling of deck chairs with them.
the way we are playing is more conducive to losing games
Possession based football is all well and good when you are putting teams away but we seem to be letting teams back into games as per the London game…
I’d be more in favour with a gung-ho approach, at least then it might be somewhat entertaining…
Didn’t think our football could get any lower than the 20’s getting slaughtered by fuckin Wicklow. Anyone at match today?
That’s a great win over Leitrim. Cian Hughes could be the one to become a talisman in attack. He was the main man for the DCU freshers team that won their competition this year.
That Andrew Cordon cup thing is just an O Byrne cup type thing. I wouldnt get too hung up on it. I remember one year Carlow beating Wexford in the minor equivalent and in the championship we met them again and won by 10 points or so. Its not ideal, but looking at a pre season competition result in isolation wont tell you much.
Good win today anyway against Leitrim. Soumds like a lot of frees/marks again the main scoring route.
I dunno… I just thinking we’re going down a very very dark path with football in the county.
Good Counsel won a Leinster A football title at *U14’s last week which is promising. Team containing a fair chunk of Rathgarogue Cushinstown lads which suggest they’re starting to pick up strong numbers at underage. Very few Kilkenny lads on it. FCJ in a Leinster B senior final this coming week too I believe.
*U14’s now known as second year football.
The GCC 1st year footballers are in the Leinster 1/4 final too with some of those lads who won the leinster final ladt week.
I’d say the usual problem though is the better lads are good hurlers too.
Four Kilkenny players started for GCC in that Leinster U14 football win, this Sean O Brien is the truth though lads a serious operator…I saw him hurling recently…there isn’t a better 14/15 year old in Wexford or possibly anywhere else either
What club is he?
Rathgarogue Cushinstown…hurling, football, soccer he’s brilliant at them all apparently…ive only seen him hurl and he’s class…got the majority of the scores for that winning GCC football team from centre forward, also centre/full forward in hurling …a serious athlete but he has all the skills too, great hands etc.
They’ll all be told to stay away from football in 5 years time.
Under 14 though come on now.
