Wexford v Galway July 2nd

If there’s one county that was ever afraid of a hard day’s work it’s Galway, given they insisted on being parachuted into the All-Ireland semi-finals each year - in fact they used to insist on being parachuted into the All-Ireland final every third year.

I’d have Flynn start every time. He misses a good bit but always involved. They might not even start Mannion unless they were fibbing about how bad his injury was. Someone mentioned on Hogan Stand he was in a protective boot during the week.

They rotated against Munster and Leinster in modern times and didn’t get the handy one.

luckin farward ta sundae haha

Is it Hanbury or Hansbury now?

Well spotted

It’ll be Lansbury on Sunday when it’ll be a case of murder, she wrote by Wexford.

The Galway Surrender Monkeys will win this one by 5. They tend to save their tog filling party piece for Kilkenny or Tipp.

I agree with you

Relentlessly unfunny stuff as ever

No, it was funny.

You’re just a tedious, dry shite.

Oooft or some such …

Is it true Wexford’s championship record against Galway is Played 8, Won 6, Drew 1, Lost 1? And the loss was when Colm Bonnar was manager so it doesn’t count?

There isn’t much of a recent championship record to speak of, really, as meetings have been infrequent.

The only meetings I can think of which would be within the living memory of anybody alive are the 1955 All-Ireland final, the 1976 All-Ireland semi-final (which was the draw - both matches played in Pairc Ui Chaoimh), the 1996 All-Ireland semi-final and the 2010 meeting in Nowlan Park which is the only one Galway one.

There may have been couple of other All-Ireland semi-finals too - 1970 probably and maybe one in the 50s.

I don’t think there has been a qualifier meeting?

Wexford have won “against the head” as it were in a couple of other high-profile meetings too - the 2007 league quarter-final and obviously this year at Pearse Stadium.

Dubliners trying to talk hurling

A shocking error, it was two.

I’d like to see Galway win for my good pals @KinvarasPassion and @Lazarus. On the other hand, because of all those insufferable cunts like @Ambrose_McNulty, @maroonandwhite, @anon7035031, @Horsebox, @mikehunt and the rest of Nogra I hope we batter the fuck out of the tog filling cunts.
