Wexford v Galway July 2nd

Only plus point is burke and canning were so useless they have to prove themselves again. Weā€™ve gone from being the worst team in the air to the best thank fuck.

Galway now have five weeks without a match.

Galway arenā€™t Kilkenny, and provincial champions who arenā€™t Kilkenny have a fierce habit of being caught cold in All-Ireland semi-finals.

When your scoring 30 odd points a game you donā€™t need to create goal chances!

Commiserations to Wexford posters, especially top bloke @Fitzy and even the miserable cunts @croppy_boy and @count_of_monte_crist. Contributed to an enjoyable run out for Galway, which is all we can ask for really.

Commiserations @Fitzy @artfoley @Gman @Bandage weā€™re a few years further down the road. Why ye didnā€™t detail Murphy to double mark our only forward who was on his game is beyond me. Enjoy the bus back to Donegal @croppy_boy

Congratulations to all my online Galway chums.

Weā€™re moving onto Cork. Iā€™m confident barley can grow up out of todayā€™s grave.

Requiem for the Croppies by Seamus Heaney

The pockets of our greatcoats full of barleyā€¦
No kitchens on the run, no striking campā€¦
We moved quick and sudden in our own country.
The priest lay behind ditches with the tramp.
A people hardly marchingā€¦ on the hikeā€¦
We found new tactics happening each day:
Weā€™d cut through reins and rider with the pike
And stampede cattle into infantry,
Then retreat through hedges where cavalry must be thrown.
Untilā€¦ on Vinegar Hillā€¦ the final conclave.
Terraced thousands died, shaking scythes at cannon.
The hillside blushed, soaked in our broken wave.
They buried us without shroud or coffin
And in Augustā€¦ the barley grew up out of our grave.

Is that philosophical enough for you @Lazarus?

If Galway donā€™t win it this year they never will. Very little cohesion between their forwards but they are serious units who can all win their own ball. As a Limerick man who was in Nowlan Park last night thatā€™s a major plus for any team.

Their biggest challengers right now are Cork. Clare are a great unknown at this stage. Feel sorry for the Wexford skins who I met today in the Suite Level, sound saaaaans. A Cork Wexford final. Can the GAA dream it? Youā€™d have to have in that stadium in Pyongyang. 250,000, nat a bother.

Hard luck wexford and Welll done Galway

Galway have beaten nothing up to now.

Iā€™m disappointed too mate

@Sidney would want to show a bit of respect to the county thatā€™s approving his carerā€™s allowance. The weird little cunt.

Mannion won a great ball in the second half, was fouled and won a free. No hysterics, head down, play on. Great to see. Having David Burke and Canning so quiet and still win comfortably shows we have a team. Todayā€™s performance might not be good enough but too early in the year to peak. Professional.

Congratulations Galway, by far the better team in second half

Wexford battled superbly today, the hunger they showed was unreal. Davy is doing a serious job with them.
